Chaim Witz also known as Gene Simmons is an Israeli- American musician. He is also known as the Demon. Gene Simmons is also a bassist and co-lead singer of Kiss. Kiss is a rock band co-founded by Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss in the early 1970s. Gene Simmons was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014 as a member of Kiss.
Gene Simmons Early Life
Gene Simmons was born in Haifa, Isreal to Jewish immigrants from Hungary. Gene Simmons’s mother Florence Klein was born in Jand and she survived internment in the Nazi conversation camps. His father Yeheil was a Carpenter. Simmons spent his early days in Tirat Carmel and was raised in a practicing Jewish household.
Gene Simmons immigrated to the United States with his mother when he was eight years old. His father however remained in Isreal. He also changed his name to Gene Klein adopting his mother’s maiden name.
Gene Simmons attended Richmond College and Sulivan County Community College both in New York. He chooses a stage name in tribute to his idol Jumpin Gene Simmons. He practiced playing his guitar for hours on end. Before his successful music, he worked as a typist and an assistant editor for Vogue.
Gene Simmons also revealed that The Beatles had a significant influence on him and he also revealed that if it wasn’t for the Beatles he could have not gotten his career on the move. He also described their long hair as girls and it blew his mind away.

Gene Simmon’s Career
Simmon started his career with the Lynx and which was renamed the Missing Links when he was still a teenager. He eventually disbanded the band to firm the Long Island Sounds, the name being a pun on Long Island Sound. While playing for the band he also worked odd jobs to make more money.
Gene Simmons formed the rock band Wicked Lester in the early 1970s with Stanley Eisen. The name recorded one album but it was never released because of his Dissatisfied with Wicked Lester’s sound and look. Wicked Lester was later disbanded walking away from their record deal with Epic Records.
They decided to form the Ultimate Rock band and they started looking for a drummer. Gene Simmons and Stanley eventually found an ads placed by George Peter John Criscuola who at that time was playing for clubs in Brooklyn the three joined and started as a trio.

Gene Simmons was performing on stage with his band Kiss When he suddenly stopped. He eventually continued his performance while sitting on a chair. Gene Simmons eventually thanked everyone for their good wishes at Magnaus Stadium in Brazil.
