Recap of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 Episode 9!
Despite Muichirou’s success in gaining the demon slayer marks, Gyokko remains optimistic. He continues to act as though he can win the combat at any time, while Mist Hashira remains silent.
Muichirou, in order to elicit an emotional response from him, points out that one of Gyokko’s vases is asymmetrical. This infuriates the demon, who unleashes a lethal onslaught of 1000 poisonous fishes.
Interestingly, the Mist Hashira not only cuts all of them but also deflects the poison carried by their blood, which might behave like poisons and soak through human skin.
Muichirou then almost cuts the Upper-Rank Five again, but Gyokko escapes. He then reveals his actual appearance, but the Mist Hashira appears unconcerned.
Elsewhere Tanjirou continues to battle Zohakuten, while Hantengu hides. Despite the backing of Nezuko and Genya, he battles against the monster.
Despite his gallant efforts, he is devoured by one of Zohakuten’s dragons. Nezuko and Genya witness things helplessly while they struggle to fight themselves.
That’s when the Love Hashira appears. She slices the dragon with measured cuts to liberate Tanjirou before he is crushed. Once he is free, she moves him away from Zohakuten and promises him that she will fight alone from now on. Mitsuri goes toward the monster, sure that she can face it alone. Genya and Nezuko look on.
What Happened at the End of Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 9?
Gyokko declares himself unbeatable after finally revealing his full form. Muichirou, on the other hand, has different intentions. When assaulted, he maintains his cool and employs Obsuring Clouds, the sixth phase of Mist Breathing.
Gyokko is then surrounded by a dense cloud of mist, reducing his visibility greatly. The Upper Rank Five spots Muichirou on many occasions in the following moments.
Every time Gyokko attempts to assault him, the Mist Hashira vanishes into thin air. Gyokko is understandably irritated, but it is too late for him at this point.
Muichirou comes in front of him and informs him that he is not the only one who has not been serious up to this point. The Mist Hashira decapitates Gyokko before he can realize anything.
This happens so quickly that the Upper-Rank Five does not appear to recognize his loss until his head falls to the ground. Despite being defeated, he continues to blabber, and Muichirou has had enough.
He slashed Gyokko’s head into a million little pieces. Upper-Rank Five is undoubtedly dead at this time. Kanamori approaches Muichirou shortly after Gyokko’s death. Mist Hashira’s well-being concerns the swordsman.
Despite Muichirou’s assurances that he is alright, he collapses seconds later. The poison looks to be having an effect, but Kanamori and Kotetsu are on hand to provide Muichirou with much-needed medical assistance.
The episode concludes without revealing what happens to Mist Hashira. According to Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, Muichirou will not only survive his injuries but will also play an important part in the forthcoming arcs. Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 9 Review!
Muichiro began Episode 9 by insulting Gyokko with words, which irritated Gyokko and caused him to go insane. But, thanks to Muichiro Tokito’s refined Mist Breathing Techniques, none of Gyokko’s strikes were effective.
This caused the latter to transform into a new form, while the former remained unaffected, mocking Gyokko by claiming that powerful attacks are pointless if they don’t strike.
Gyokko became enraged and assaulted Muichiro; nevertheless, none of the attacks had any effect on the latter. Rather, Muichiro’s quick assault lost Gyokko his neck, causing him to disappear. Thus, the heated conflict came to an end.
As the conflict progressed, viewers were able to take a deep dive into Muichiro’s history; his recollection forced him to strengthen his determination step by step. Muichiro discovered that Kotetsu was still alive after defeating Gyokko.
He was presumably spared by the hilt Tanjiro handed him for Tanjiro’s blade, which belonged to the late Rengoku Kyojuro. This reminded Muichiro of Rengoku, and he also saw his father, mother, and brother Yuichiro, who had earlier informed him that trusting people would be a good thing.
