Sex Education Season 3: Everything You Need To Know

Sex Education fans rejoice! Netflix has confirmed that the groundbreaking comedy about a group of high school students will be renewed for a third season. The news is not a surprise – especially considering that the first installment was viewed by more than 40 million households – but given the streaming giant’s track record canceling popular shows ( Spinning Out, BoJack Horseman, Glow ) it is a cause for celebration. So which of your favorite characters will be returning to Moordale next year? Below you will find a guide full of spoilers about everything we know about the third season of that success that is Sex Education so far.

Who Will Return For Season 3 Of Sex Education?

All recurring characters from the series are expected to appear in the third season of the Netflix series, from Asa Butterfield (Otis) and Emma Mackey (Maeve) to Gillian Anderson (Jean) and Ncuti Gatwa (Eric). The announcement confirming the news was made by Alistair Petrie, who plays director Groff, which suggests that he, too, will return. In the video, he is seen walking past portraits of several of the cast members, including Connor Swindells (Adam), Kedar Williams-Stirling (Jackson), Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee), Tanya Reynolds (Lily), and Patricia. Allison (Ola) – a promising sign that they too will be on board.

Less is known about the new faces of season two. Sami Outalbali, who won the hearts of audiences as Eric’s boyfriend Rahim, is still a Moordale student even though they broke up in the last episode.

George Robinson, who plays Maeve’s neighbor Isaac, is also likely to appear in season three given their fledgling relationship. However, Anne-Marie Duff, who appeared as Erin, Maeve’s mother might not reprise her role considering she was detained by social services at the end of last season.

What Can We Expect From Season 3 Of Sex Education?

The show’s second season offered a host of memorable moments – from Otis’s loss of virginity to Jean’s sex clinic at her son’s school. But, it also left many questions unanswered. In the final episode of season 2, Otis left Maeve a voicemail telling her that he loved her. However, before she could hear it the message was deleted by Isaac. Can this complicated couple be together or will it be that in season 3 Maeve will fall in love with her neighbor to heal lovesickness, despite her duplicity?

Another important point in the plot will be Jean’s pregnancy. Will you have your baby with Jakob (Mikael Persbrandt), who would then be the brother of Otis and his ex-girlfriend Ola? And then there’s Jackson’s friendship with Viv (Chinenye Ezeudu), Aimee’s emotional recovery from the attack, and the question of whether Lily and Ola will take their relationship to the next level.

However, the most anticipated plot is that of Eric and Adam’s romance that was barely made public. “I wonder what awaits these two cherubs,” says Petrie of the pair in the Netflix teaser. “Well, I guess they’ll have to find out in season three. ”

When Does The Third Season Of Sex Education Premiere?

Netflix has not revealed a premiere date, but since the first season of Sex Education arrived in January 2019 and the second in January 2020, it is likely that season three will arrive in January 2021.
