“Siren” Is Canceled After 3 Seasons And Will Not Have A 4th Season

“Siren” experienced the cancellation song: Freeform canceled the mermaid drama after three seasons – with this “Siren” will not return for a fourth season.

No reason was given for the cancellation, although the series had a drop in audience numbers for the second and third season, according to TVLine. Despite the drop, “Siren” was among the most-watched series on the channel.

The series takes place in Bristol Cove, a coastal town dominated by a mythical legend that mermaids would have lived there for centuries, which starts to feel real when a mysterious girl was known as Ryn (Eline Powell) appears there.

The end of season 3 (which is now also the end of the series) was broadcast in May and had an inconclusive ending after a confrontation between the mermaids Ryn and Tia, leaving the main issues in the air.

Although good has finally triumphed over evil, the episode didn’t exactly end Ryn’s story – of course, his daughter is safe, but Ben’s whereabouts are still unknown.

In Brazil, the series is broadcast on the Sony channel and the first two seasons are on Globoplay.
