Great news for fans
If you’re a fan of Cobra Kai and were expecting a Christmas gift from Netflix, here’s what he just arrived: the streaming platform confirmed that he was ahead of the third season premiere.
Previously announced for January 8, now, the third season will premiere on January 1. That’s right. Get ready to spend the first day of the year marathoning the new adventures of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence.
According to the official Netflix synopsis, the third season will feature 10 episodes. And, also, it will show “the whole world reeling after the violent fight at school between his dojos, which left Miguel in a precarious condition. While Daniel seeks answers in his past and Johnny seeks redemption, Kreese further manipulates his vulnerable students with his vision of mastery. The soul of the Valley is at stake, and the destiny of each student and sensei too. ”
Check out the official trailer for the new season.
A highlight of the trailer: Johnny and Daniel will work together, probably to take down John Kreese and Cobra Kai. And another very important detail was the confirmation of two figures from Karate Kid II, which the Series Mix advanced in an exclusive matter.
These are Kumiko and Chozen – the villain of Karate Kid II – who will show up in the new episodes. This bow will be part of Daniel’s trip to Japan, where he will discover more secrets from Mr. Miyagi’s past.
The public already knows that Daniel will travel to Okinawa, after Mr. Miyagi’s past. But what many people speculate and bet is that, while Miyagi Dojo’s sensei is away, students should be guided by none other than Johnny Lawrence. We do not know, however, whether Johnny will “take” Daniel’s Dojo without his knowledge or whether, in some way, he will have his blessing.
It is worth remembering that Johnny ended the second season losing the Cobra Kai to John Kreese, who became the new sensei of the place and promises to rescue the teachings of when he touched the place, in the 1980s.
However, another possibility is that one more Karate Kid face will return: Ali, played by Elisabeth Shue. At the end of the second season, the public saw that Ali sent a friend notification to Johnny on Facebook, just before the embittered man threw his cell phone on the beach. With that, Ali must resurface in Johnny’s life and find him again. Probably while Daniel is traveling.
Also, on the Reddit forum, fans bet that Ali will be the one to encourage Johnny to join the Miyagi Dojo to defeat Kreese and Cobra Kai. With that, Johnny, as well as Daniel will have the opportunity to work together, teaching students, for the first time in decades. Actress Elisabeth Shue is expected to appear for at least two episodes, so that will be very exciting.
Cobra Kai was initially a YouTube Premium series. However, after the platform ended the production of scripted series, it ended up selling the production to Netflix. Now, not only will Netflix launch the unreleased third season, but it has also renewed the attraction for a fourth season.
