To no one’s surprise, Amazon Prime Video has announced the renewal of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for a fourth season. Amy Sherman-Palladino’s series has garnered awards since its launch in 2017 and its streak continues with recent nominations for the 2020 Golden Globes and SAG Awards.
It has not only worked between critics and awards but also in audience data. Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, confirmed in the press release announcing the renewal that this third season has been the most-watched series on the weekend of its premiere in the entire history of the platform.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was the first Amazon Prime Video series to get the direct order for two seasons when the platform still used the pilot voting system among its subscribers, and the renewal announcement for a third came months before the issuance of the second, a record that shows that you have always trusted this series.
The fourth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has no confirmed release date yet, but we can expect it to arrive in late 2020, because it has always kept its annual appointment since it premiered in November 2017.
