Ragnarok debuted in January 2020 on Netflix and soon became one of the darling series in the catalog. The program tells the story of the young Magne (David Stakston), who ends up discovering to possess mythical powers when he moves to the fictional city of Edda, in Norway.

At school, Magne learns about her privileged classmates, Fjor (Herman Tømmeraas) and Saxa (Theresa Frostad Eggesbø) Jutul, sons of the wealthy, Vidar (Gísli Örn Garðarsson) and wife Ran (school principal, played by Synnøve Macody Lund). When a young environmentalist dies after seeing a mysterious tunnel, Magne looks for answers and discovers that he is not like other teenagers. Unfortunately, most of the inhabitants of Edda believe that Magne has serious psychological problems, not least because he claims to have physical skills that would make him a God, not an ordinary teenager.

Netflix confirmed the renewal of ‘Ragnarok’

The second season will expand the current history of climate change, but Old World visions also promise to explore other dramatic arcs.

The new episodes are expected to debut in 2021, but the effects of the coronavirus pandemic may affect the recording schedule.

What will be the plot of the second season of Ragnarok?

The end of Ragnarok’s first season is based on the inevitable clash between Magne and Vidar. In previous episodes, the young God kills the Jutul family dog and later receives a psychiatric evaluation because of his behavior. But Magne finds Vidar’s 2,500 barrels of toxic cadmium and plants some at police headquarters. Finally, he engages in combat with the enemy and launches thunder from the sky, which knocks down the Giant.

The second season will undoubtedly expand the mythical universe. The first six episodes detail the story of Magne’s origin while sparking future stories of secondary characters that connect to Thor’s mythology. At the end of the first season, Wenche’s final dialogue implies that Magne is just beginning to learn how he can change the world.
