Vikings Season 6 Part 2: Ivar Weak Point Revealed By The Creator Of The Series

The second part of Vikings season 6 arrives and the plot continues to follow Ivar the Boneless. She could also reveal the reason why Ivar has turned on his family. These are the last episodes broadcast on Canal + in France and on Amazon Prime Video in a large part of the world.

The creator of the series spoke about the journey of Ivar who is the main antagonist of Vikings. He is also called “the boneless” in the series because he is disabled and cannot walk without assistance.

We assume that Ivar has turned on his family as they underestimated him due to his disability. He learned to accept his differences, and developed a thirst for power, striving to be the best Viking who ever lived.

Writer Michael Hirst elaborated on the reasoning behind the character of Ivar, saying “I always felt that Ivar was in competition with Bjorn for natural leadership after Ragnar died. Fans saw a unique side to Ivar in Season 6 Part 1, as he began to understand his weaknesses.

We noticed that Ivar’s relationship with young Prince Igor (Oran Glynn O’Donovan) marked the beginning of his redemption. We believe Ivar is going to sacrifice himself for his brother Hvitserk in a huge battle, and they can’t wait to see how his character will change. One of the main reasons he saw the error of his manners is due to Oleg’s wife, Katia, who takes the form of Ivar’s former wife, Freydis, and is played by the same actress.

Ivar sees Katia as Freydis because she’s one of the only people he’s ever really loved, and he ends up murdering her. He considers Katia to be his former wife because he feels incredible guilt and it will still haunt him in many ways. The final season will be full of surprises and twists and turns, but one of the biggest shocks will be with Ivar and his brother Hvitserk.

Vikings Season 6 Part 2 will be broadcast from December 31, 2020, on Canal +.
