‘Locked Down’: Trailer Of The New Anne Hathaway

“We are all locked in this psychological prison,” says the character played by Chiwetel Ejiofor during a call by Zoom. This phrase belongs to the trailer for ‘Locked Down’, the film directed by Doug Liman for HBO Max and which, starring Anne Hathaway, will hit the platform on January 14.

Set in London in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, it tells the story of Linda and Paxton, a couple who, to get out of the extreme situation in which they find themselves, plan the perfect robbery at the legendary Harrods department store. Your goal is to grab a loot of no less than £ 300 million in diamonds.

The movie is very reminiscent of ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith ‘, another of the titles directed by Liman with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as protagonists. The script is written by Steven Knight, nominated for an Oscar for ‘Hidden Business’ (Stephen Frears, 2002) and completes its cast with Ben Kingsley, Ben Stiller, Lucy Boynton, Jazmyn Simon and Mindy Kaling.

This is another of the tapes that emerged during confinement and which takes as its leit motive the psychological consequences of the confinement, this time on the skin of a couple financially affected by the closure.
