David Irigoyen Barrio, Henneo’s digital product director, died last night in a Madrid hospital, after suffering from a serious illness in recent months. David was born forty years ago in Pamplona, he was married to María and had a five-year-old son. Our dear colleague studied a degree in Higher Professional Training in Sound Technician at the University of Navarra and completed his training with a degree in Audiovisual Communication at the University of La Rioja.
Despite his youth, David already had enormous professional experience in digital areas. He started working very young at Radio Caracol and from there he went to Cope, where he laid the foundations as a digital expert. He was signed by Yahoo and later by Marca.com. In 2017, he became the head of Henneo’s digital product area and thanks to his leadership and formation of good teams, he led our Group to be an essential reference in the internet world.
David Irigoyen was such an excellent professional as a person and as a partner. He had an impressive human quality and an admirable capacity for work and a sense of perfectionism. All of us who make up Henneo join in the pain of his great family. We will always remember it. Rest in peace.
