We complained that Netflix prioritized quantity over quality and they listened to us. And, along with a selection of titles that have hit it, they have given us Lupin. Season 2 of the series is already underway.
It’s only been 4 days since it was released and we already want more. After having seen the first five chapters of Lupin , we have season 2 toasty in the oven and about to hit our screens. We tell you everything.
What’s Lupin About, Season 2
The second part of the series will pick up the plot right where the first left off. We refresh your memory: Assane Diop is a white-collar thief who is inspired by the novels by Arsène Lupin, The Knight Thief, written by Maurice Leblanc. To get into context, Lupin would be to France as Holmes went to Britain (in fact, they are contemporaries).
Assane began the first season with a mission to steal an ancient necklace from Marie Antoinette and ended it by searching for her son Raoul on the beach during Maurice Leblanc’s anniversary. This is where the story will pick up.
When will we see Lupin, season 2
In reality, the 5 episodes that we are going to see are not a second season as such, but the continuation of the first, which had to be split in half due to the coronavirus crisis. Therefore, they are already filmed and therefore, we will see them sooner than we thought. It is expected that by summer we will already have it on our screens.
Who will be in Lupin, season 2
Of course, Omar Sy ( Untouchable ) will return to star in the series adopting the role of Assane Diop. The thinking heads behind all this will continue to be creators George Kay ( Killing Eve ) and François Uzan ( Family Business ), while the director will be Louis Leterrier ( Now you see me … ).
