Trauma has different ways of creeping through our lives, we all must have gone through various obstacles in our lives and one affects us more than the other and a few are doing a number on us and unrecoverable. But we all need to ask for help when it’s needed and at least be strong enough to get through it. The creators of the Virgin River series tell a different story about trauma, pain, and the will to get out of it. The show that debuted in 2019 is now set to return for a third season this year and here’s what we know so far.
Release date: Virgin River Season 3
The show debuted in 2019 and was quickly renewed for a second season and ended in 2020, wasting no time the makers announced the show will return for a third season. However, filming dates have been changed due to the pandemic, but the good news is that the cast and crew have returned and started filming for the next season. While the directors haven’t confirmed the season’s official release date, we can expect it to air before the end of 2021 due to the speed of filming and production. The season is officially confirmed to have 10 episodes this season.

The series has a well-known cast, Alexandra Breckenridge playing the role of Melinda Monroe aka Mel, Martin Henderson playing the role of Jack Sheridan. Colin Lawrence as John Middleton aka Preacher, Jenny Copper as Joey Barnes, Lauren Hammersley as Charmaine Roberts, Annette O’Toole as Hope McCrea, Tim Matheson as Vernon Mullins, Benjamin Hollingsworth as Dan Brady as well as Grayson Guernsey as Ricky and Sarah Dugdale as Lizzie.
Plot: Virgin River Season 3
Season 3 will begin with an irony of Jack being shot in the Virgin River after serving as a U.S. Marine in the corps. The previous season ended with a heart-wrenching scene where Mel finds Jack covered in blood after being shot. Just when they thought they could have a happy life after overcoming their fears and scars, they found themselves faced with another dilemma. That’s not it, you have to see what Vernon found in the diagnosis. He said the directors of the series also revealed that few other members will be joining the current cast in Season 3.
