Here’s everything we know about Netflix’s second Love Alarm season, after the first season of K-drama, based on the Korean webtoon of the same name. Since the start of its original programming venture, Netflix has produced films and TV shows in all types of genres, from animated TV and adventure specials, choose your own, to prestigious romcoms and dramas. Now, Netflix is also diving into the world of Korean content with original series and movies made specifically for K drama fans. One of them is the sci-fi romance drama Love Alarm.
Based on Chon Kye-young’s webtoon, Love Alarm tells the story of three young men who come of age when the worldwide change application called Love Alarm is launched. The app, if enabled, lets users know who within 10 meters has romantic feelings for them. As the app is synchronized with the user’s heart, there is no way to lie, which causes some problems when two childhood friends – the model Hwang Sun-oh (Song Kang) and the son of his maid Lee Hye-Yeong (Jung Ga-ram) – both fall in love with the same girl, Kim Jojo (Kim So-Hyun).

Love Alarm Season 2 story details
MAIN SPOILERS ahead in the 1st season of Love Alarm.
Of course, fans who finished the first season of Love Alarm, no doubt, can’t wait for the revelation of how this cliff end unfolds. The end of Season 1 ends with Jojo trapped between Sun-oh and Hye-Yeong, ringing the two love alarms, but unable to touch one because of the shield given to her by Cheong Duk Gu (Lee Jae-eung). A potential second season would undoubtedly give fans an answer to the question of what happens next for these three, potentially even revealing who Jojo ends up with (the webtoon continues beyond the point where the TV show ends, but it’s also unfinished)
Also, Love Alarm season 2 would likely show the Love Alarm 2.0 app in action. As revealed at the end of season 1, Love Alarm 2.0 will be able to tell who will fall in love, predicting how feelings will grow between two people. This is a logical next step for the app and is a premise rich in drama, especially since it can affect Jojo’s choice between Sun-oh and Hye-Yeong.
Finally, there is still the mystery surrounding the developer of Love Alarm. Viewers know that Duk Gu developed the app, as he gave Jojo the unique shield technology and he was shown in the developer’s room before he disappeared. However, the presentation of Love Alarm 2.0 is given by someone who is certainly not Duk Gu. What happened to him and why the company Love Alarm is missing someone as a developer are questions that a possible Love Season 2 alarm could answer, in addition to finally solving the love triangle between Jojo, Sun-oh and Hye-Yeong at once for everyone.
