The first season of Virgin River dropped on December 6th while the second season has just dropped on November 27th.

When will a third season of Virgin River be released?

The series’ showrunners have set a precedent of beginning production on each season almost instantly after the one before, leading to the release of Virgin River’s next season under a season following the initial. If this pattern continues, and when creation on the next season did return in August–virtually any COVID-related slowdowns–then we can expect to see the third season arrive on Netflix in late November 2021, or even a couple of weeks earlier.

Who will be in the cast for Virgin River season 3?

Past the core cast returning, we’ve already got a new casting for season 3.

The returning cast supported for season 3 comprises Martin Henderson, Alexandra Breckenridge, Jenny Cooper, Grayson Maxwell Gurnsey, Tim Matheson, Benjamin Hollingsworth, and Colin Lawrence.

The very first brand new casting we have heard so far is Jasmine Vega to feature Stella from season 3 onwards. Vega has preceding featured in names like Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as Lizzie and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Alongside the renewal, Netflix themselves introduced two new cast members.

That includes Zibby Allen (The Flash) who will comprise in all 10 episodes as Brie who’s Jack’s sister who is an attorney by trade.

Stacey Farber (Degrassi: The Next Generation) will perform Lilly’s daughter, Tara Anderson.

Some of the other smaller cast members place to debut season 3 include:

  • Kerën Burkett as an ER Nurse
  • Jessie Liang as Dr. Benson

What will happen in the third season?

Season 3 of Virgin River already has its work cut out for it since season two finished with a minimum of one cliffhanger for virtually every character. The following batch of episodes will have to speech –spoiler alert! –whether Mel and Jack are back together for good, the medical news Doc Mullins was going to share with Hope until they were interrupted by a surprise re-engagement celebration, how Preacher decides between staying in Virgin River or carrying that new chef job in San Francisco, and, most urgently, who shot Jack (and, needless to say, if he survives).

If this appears to be a tall order, fear not: Tenney, the showrunner, has guaranteed that every unanswered question will be addressed at the third season that may also, in true form-dram style, open up several new cans of worms to the residents of Virgin River. Within an interview using TVLine, she noticed that the question of who shot Jack is going to be researched throughout season three, with the puzzle possibly continuing into future seasons. Tenney also theorized that the next season will not pick up right where season two left, instantly after Mel found Jack bleeding from a gunshot on the floor of the bar, warning viewers to anticipate”a larger time jump than we had between seasons one and two.”
