Invisible City Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Plot And All The Possible Details Of The Show

Invisible City Season 2

Do mythological creatures exist in the real world? Netflix’s ‘Invisible City’ will make you ponder upon that idea for a long time and when you have watched the first seven episodes, then odds are you just can not wait for the second season. Is not that right?

In Carlos Saldanha’s initial live-action series, an environmental police officer finds a hidden world of mythical entities from Brazilian folklore when he finds a connection between the mysterious appearance of a dead river dolphin on a Rio de Janeiro shore and the passing of his beloved wife. The series ends on a significant cliffhanger and here is all we know about the announcement of the next season.

Invisible City Season 2 Release Date

‘Invisible City’ season 1 was released in its entirety on February 5, 2021, on Netflix. It consists of seven episodes with a runtime of 31-40 minutes per day.

As far as the next season is concerned, here’s what we know. The end of the first season showcases Eric trying to battle the Dry Body’s curse and is instead struck down. Although it is assumed that he is dead, the final scene directs the viewers on with a sign that there might just be more to it. Consequently, the show may return for another season, though there hasn’t been any update regarding its renewal. If and when that happens, we can anticipate ‘Invisible City‘ season 2 to launch sometime in 2022.

Invisible City Season 2 Cast

Presumably, every cast member of Invisible City will return to reprise their roles in season 2, except for those who died in the middle of this mayhem in season 1. Isac (Wesley Guimarães, Brotherhood) abruptly died after he confronted a possessed Luna whose body was taken over by a deity that transported into Eric’s body. Likely, Eric, Camila, Inês, and Ciço (José Dumont) will reunite, because of how important they are on the major plot. Fabiana (Tainá Medina) may return too because she went to labor in the season finale. Her infant will likely play an even larger role in Invisible City season 2. As of this writing, there are no confirmed cast members, but fans can anticipate the main cast to reunite.

The show follows Eric (Marco Pigossi), an Environmental Police officer, who is looking for the killer of his wife when she dies under mysterious circumstances. At the same time, he also comes across a peculiar washed-up pink river dolphin. Among the highlights of the show is when Inês (Alessandra Negrini) says, “There is no use trying to forget, or attempting to sleep”, as flashbacks show Eric’s life together with his wife Gabriela (Julia Konrad) and daughter Luna (Manuela Dieguez).

The last scene shows just how Eric has a vision about Luna being empowered by the creature. When Gabi comes to check on Luna, she hugs her and her soul is sucked out. It is then that Gabi stinks to death. The haunting vision of Gabi’s departure makes Eric kill himself. In the next scene, he finds himself within the water along with Gabi but she tells him”Eric, you still have quite a trip left ahead of you. It is not your time yet. You’re among them.” Last, that the devil takes Eric together with him Camila and Inês follow.

What will happen if there was another season? Is there some clarity about the future of Eric? And what happened to Luna? Well, only time will tell.
