It has been a few weeks since the arrival of Fate: The Winx Saga and fans are ready to return to Alfea College to get a second season. We’re still waiting for Netflix to decide on the future of this show, but we are convinced that Fate: The Winx Saga will return in the not too distant future. For now, here’s everything we know up to now about the next season.
Fate: The Winx Saga is a Netflix Original teen-fantasy drama series based on the extremely popular cartoon series Winx Club. Made by Brian Young, the leading duties were divided between three directors, Lisa James Larsson, Hannah Quinn, and Stephen Woolfenden. The show is a collaboration between Archery Pictures, Rainbow S.p.A., and Young Blood Productions.
Has Fate: The Winx Saga been renewed for a second season?
In the time of composing Netflix has yet to declare whether that Fate: The Winx Saga has been renewed for a second season. We will likely see the series make a return sometime shortly, as a result of this show the instant effect on Netflix.
Since its release on Christmas Day, Bridgerton has been sat in the TV top place in numerous regions around the globe, most notably in the united states. The show to finally unseat the period-drama was Fate: The Winx Saga about the 23rd of January. It has to be mentioned that the Original’s reign at the top only lasted eight days, before being unseated by Bridgerton.
In June 2020 we noted that Fate: The Winx Saga had been revived along with Ozark and Warrior Nun. While we stand by our source is correct, it’s just a matter of waiting on Netflix to create a statement.
When Would Season Two Premiere?
At this point, we could only speculate when fans may get to take a trip back into the Otherworld. If Netflix quickly renews Fate for a second season and fast-tracks growth and production, the next chapter in the saga could premiere sometime in 2022.
Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 cast
If Fate: The Winx Saga does get a second season, we expect the five citizens of Winx Suite to return: Abigail Cowen as Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Eliot Salt as Terra, Elisa Applebaum as Musa, and Precious Mustapha as Aisha.
On the specialist side, the stories of Sky (Danny Griffin), Riven (Freddie Thorp) and Dane (Theo Graham) are only just beginning and fans will be keen to see if they will ever reunite.
Alfea school members Saul Silva (Robert James-Collier) and Professor Harvey (Alex Macqueen) are also very likely to return, using their senior positions at peril following Rosalind’s return to the faculty.
Eve Best might not go back as former headmistress Farah Dowling, who was seemingly killed off in the closing moments of year one — although fans are already finding creative means of bringing her back from the dead.
Cowen explained: “On an individual level, I adore Eve Best, she had been so great to use, she had been a huge help in my trip filming this series, so I’d like to have her back.”
What to expect from the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga?
Bloom’s powers grow stronger
In her dramatic fight with the Burned Ones, Bloom managed to sprout her wings, getting the very first fairy tale to do so in many decades. The use of her wings allows Bloom to tap into even more powerful magic, in particular, old magic that not even the staff of Alfea College could tap into.
With her new abilities unlocked, Bloom will just grow stronger. The source of Bloom’s power is that the Dragon Flame, and if she can control it she may have the ability to eliminate the Burned Ones for good.
It may take a while for Bloom to learn how to control her abilities, as the first time she triggered her wings she soon dropped from the exhaustion of using them.
Can fairies sprout wings?
With Bloom the first to sprout wings, it can’t be long until we see the other fairies understand how to perform the same. Apart from having a very strong fairy, we still do not know why her wings activated, but when she can figure out the secret to this ability, additional fairies could have the ability to learn the ancient magic.
Rosalind takes over Alfea College
With the help of the Queen of Solaria, Rosalind killed Farah Dowling. Together with her return as headmistress, she will use her authority to further push Bloom to unlock her abilities. With a looming war hanging over Alfea, Rosalind will be likely to utilize this chance to push the students to become even more powerful and turn them into soldiers that would fight in the war ahead.
