When is Ginny and Georgia season 2 driving onto our screens again? Netflix hasn’t formally confirmed Ginny and Georgia season 2 is happening, but it looks very probable.
The dramedy, which was in comparison with Gilmore Girls, debuted on Feb. 26 and held the top slot on Netflix’s Top 10 list in the U.S. throughout the weekend.
Additionally, Ginny and Georgia received mostly positive reviews — with one very notable unfavorable reaction. Taylor Swift criticized the show for including an “idle, deeply sexist joke” about her. Pissing off Swifties is a dumb move, Netflix. Maybe Ginny and Georgia season 2 can correct this wrong.
The show follows a 30-year-old mother, Georgia (Brianne Howey), a single mom to 15-year-old Ginny (Antonia Gentry), and 9-year-old Austin (Diesel La Torraca). They move to a bucolic New England town to begin after Georgia’s latest ex-husband died under suspicious circumstances.
In terms of Georgia, she sets her sights on the town’s handsome mayor, Paul Randolph (Scott Porter). But secrets from her past threaten to emerge and ruin the new life she is attempting to construct for her family. Season 1 ended on a huge cliffhanger, as Georgia celebrated a tremendous high while Ginny hit rock bottom.
This is what we know up to now about Ginny and Georgia season 2.

Ginny and Georgia season 2 cast
Nothing about who will make up the cast for Ginny and Georgia season 2 was put out, but it is safe to suppose that some of the major players would most assuredly go back for another outing. Howey, Gentry, and Diesel La Torraca, that plays Austin, should certainly return along with several other talented individuals who comprise the roster.
What the plot of the second season of ‘Ginny and Georgia’ would be
If the show does earn another season, season 2 has lots of questions to answer, such as where Ginny went when she ran out with her brother Austin and also what impact that decision will have on her relationship with her mother. While Ginny may not need to be anything such as Georgia, the move she pulled is right out of her mother’s book. “She is doing exactly what her mom does: Consistently running,” Lampert noted.
Lampert also talked about the evolution of the relationship throughout the sequence. “The relationship between Ginny and Georgia is the third character in the series,” she continued. “It lives by itself. It’s always evolving and changing. There are many scenes where both of these are communicating with each other over everyone’s head. They’re intrinsically wound”
With this, it is hard to envision that Ginny has left home for good. The question is just when she’ll return and what that will look like when she does.
Like many viewers, we hope to have answers soon. But the show does earn a renewal, it might face challenges due to this coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, that has forced delays and shutdowns on quite a few shows and films over the previous few months.
Then again, other Netflix shows such as Ozark and The Witcher have been able to circumvent difficulties by taking certain precautions, so maybe we might have it earlier than later. Until then, flow Ginny and Georgia Season 1 on Netflix now.
