Villanelle and Eve’s bloody run on Killing Eve will soon come to an end. The award-winning BBC show has captivated fans for three seasons, but the fourth will be the last. Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer are excited about the course of the story, and Killing Eve fans shouldn’t be prepared to say goodbye to the cold killer.

It’s been almost a year since the end of the third season of Killing Eve left Villanelle and Eve drifting apart and getting closer. The tense season followed Oksana / Villanelle as she searched for her birth family to see what love felt like.

He ended up killing his mother, but Killing Eve fans finally understood what contributed to his painful upbringing. Eve experienced the loss twice, first through the death of Kenny (Sean Delaney) and then again with Niko (Owen McDonnell).

Her estranged husband finally decided to sever ties for good after Dasha attacked him with a gallows. Throughout the Killing Eve season, Eve and Villanelle played hide and seek, danced, and some fans celebrated when they shared a kiss on a bus.

At the end of Killing Eve season 3, they realized that they had feelings for each other, feelings that they wanted to explore. Villanelle expressed her desire to quit her job as a hitman, and Eve revealed that what she saw in her future had only Villanelle.

They poetically stood back to back, challenging each other to walk away, but it didn’t work, they turned and looked at each other. Now what? Season 4 of Killing Eve will close one chapter to open another.

According to a press release the fourth season of Killing Eve announced that production will begin this summer. The final eight episodes will air sometime in 2022, however, there are signs that spinoffs are in the works and they won’t be the last fans see of Villanelle or Eve.

Sandra Oh announced in a statement that killing Eve has been one of her best experiences and she hopes to immerse me in Eve’s extraordinary mind again soon. On the other hand, executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle scoffed saying that other versions of Killing Eve are also in the works.
