Actor Anupam Shyam (64 years) passed away on Sunday (August 8). He had been ill for a few days and was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. He died due to failure of vital organs. Filmmaker Ashok Pandit and journalist Anupam K. Singh confirmed the news on social media. He expressed grief over the demise of Anupam Shyam on Twitter and paid tribute. Anupam Shyam rose to fame in the acting world by playing the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh in the serial Pratigya. His full name was Anupam Shyam Ojha and he was a resident of Station Road in Pratapgarh city of UP. He was unmarried and lived in Mumbai with brother Anurag Shyam Ojha.
Anupam Shyam Was Battling Kidney Disease
Even a year ago, Anupam Shyam’s condition had become critical. From Bandit Queen to Thakur Sajjan Singh in the serial Pratigya, Anupam was suffering from kidney problems. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government had also given an assistance of Rs 20 lakh to help in the treatment. There is a wave of sadness among the fans due to the news of his death. His acting and brilliant personality are being remembered on social media. Ashok Pandit wrote, “Sad to learn about the passing of Anupam Shyam, a great actor and a great human being. My condolences to his family. A huge loss to the film and TV industry.”
