We Need to Do Something Movie
We Need to Do Something is a horror film based on the Max Booth III novel of the same name. “A family on the point of self-destruction finds themselves isolated in their bathroom during a tornado warning,” according to the book. That’s a purposefully vague summary because this is one of those stories where the less you know, the more powerful it is.
Melissa (Sierra McCormick) and her family become stuck after seeking refuge from a storm. With no sign of help, the hours lead to days, and Melissa realises she and her lover Amy may be involved in the horrors that threaten to tear her family – and the entire globe – apart. Sean King O’Grady, a producer and filmmaker, directs We Need to Do Something, his first narrative feature film after previously directing the documentary Land Grab and producing a few other films. Max Booth III penned the film’s screenplay. This was first shown at the Tribeca Film Festival, and it was also shown at Outfest Los Angeles earlier this summer.
The bizarre, outlandish horror film We Need to Do Something is coming to town shortly, and you should make a special effort to see it. So, before you go to the movie, here’s some crucial information to know. Or to persuade you to go watch it. Either one will suffice.

We Need to Do Something : Plot
Melissa and her family become stuck after seeking refuge from a storm. With no sign of rescue, Melissa begins to suspect that she and her lover Amy may be involved in the horrors that are threatening to tear her family – and the entire globe – apart.
The plot is a little more specific than the book synopsis, but it’s still a touch hazy. After seeing We Need to Do Something, I can tell you that there are a lot of twists and turns in store, and the picture becomes increasingly unhinged as it progresses.
We Need to Do Something : Trailer
“What if it wasn’t simply a storm?” says the trailer for We Need to Do Something. We Need to Do Something, a mysterious new horror movie directed by Sean King O’Grady, has received an official trailer from IFC Midnight. It had its world premiere earlier this year at Tribeca. The plot revolves around a massive, catastrophic storm approaching and trapping a family within their home. But that isn’t all… There are other strange, demonic forces lurking there, making things extra terrifying as they remain trapped there for days.
The book has been described as a “Pandora’s Box of horror,” which sounds about right, with a hint of Stephen King’s everyone-goes-crazy-storm atmosphere. Sierra McCormick, Pat Healy, Lisette Alexis, and Vinessa Shaw star in the film. With all the intimate camera shots, this has a great style. I like how the storm and the weirdly terrible things going on inside the house have different levels of intensity. And it’s evident that they need to “do something” about it.
