Filmmaker Rodrigo Cortés wrote and directed Red Lights, which stars Sigourney Weaver, Robert De Niro, and Elizabeth Olsen in an international cast of actors. To discredit an internationally known psychic (De Niro), whose most ardent critic mysteriously died 30 years earlier, physicist (Murphy) and university psychology professor (Weaver) team up to disprove the existence of supernatural phenomena.

It had its world premiere in January 2012 at the Sundance Film Festival before receiving a limited release on July 13th in the United States.

Plot with Red Lights

Margaret’s comatose son was used against her by Silver in the past, and he publicly humiliated her. To Tom, Silver is now a challenge. Margaret cautions Tom against doing so. Tom is a dissenter. He tries to bug Silver’s show by listening to radio frequencies and implying that Silver is merely pretending. However, his efforts are thwarted by electrical surges, which destroy his equipment and injure him.

Margaret, who had been battling a heart condition, died as a result of it. Is there a connection between this and Silver? A conman? Not at all. Tom isn’t giving up on his mission to bring Silver to justice. Tom is the victim of a series of unexplained events. Despite Tom’s scepticism about the paranormal aspect, he believes Silver is behind it.

Review of The Film Red Lights

Weaver and Murphy play psychic investigators, and De Niro plays their spoon-bending target in this lighthearted thriller.

If a film casts Robert De Niro in the role of a suspected con artist, it has a leg up. Simon Silver, a celebrity spoonbender, is the ultimate target of Sigourney Weaver and Cillian Murphy’s stakeouts in this supernatural thriller, which is clearly influenced by Christopher Nolan’s non-franchise movies. A relic of Rodrigo Cortés’ groundbreaking “man in a box” film “Buried,” starring Elizabeth Olsen and Craig Roberts from “Submarine,” is sure to turn off fans of “Paranormal Activity.” Olsen has proven to be overqualified for the role of the tagalong love interest. As long as you don’t mind seeing Mungo Jerry in action, this is the kind of semi-savvy pulp nonsense that’ll do if your first choice is sold out of your preferred film.

Rodrigo Cortes’s 2012 film Red Lights was hailed as one of the year’s most bizarre and disturbing films. Cillian Murphy, Sigourney Weaver, and Robert De Niro headlined the film’s early cast. Sigourney Weaver’s Margaret and Cillian Murphy’s Tom were the focus of the story’s plot.

To show how the two disapprove of paranormal events, this film depicts their travels around the world. There are many theories about people who communicate with the dead, Godmen, and other supernatural entities that they disprove as they go about completing their tasks. In the midst of all this, Robert De Niro’s character, Silver, enters their lives. They first come across him when he kills a journalist who was critical of his claims to be a self-proclaimed godman.
