Billy Eichner Stars in The First Major Studio Homosexual Rom-Com, Titled “bros.”

As the first major studio film to have a completely LGBTQ lead cast, Eichner’s film will go down in cinematic history.

“Bros,” the first major studio homosexual romance comedy, premiered its trailer on Wednesday.

As the first homosexual male to ever create and star in a major studio film Billy Eichner, the comedian and four-time Emmy nominated actor behind the rom-com. As the first big studio film to have an all-gay cast, “Bros” will create history.

A message accompanying the trailer, written to the “LGBT+ elites,” by Eichner, 43, emphasized the significance of Sept. 30’s premiere of the film.

As much as it frustrates me that this movie has taken so long to get made, it is a real sign of progress that the same studio that produces blockbusters like “Jurassic World” and “The Fast and the Furious” is also releasing an R-rated gay romance with an all-LGBT+ cast and with the same passion and enthusiasm as they release those other films,” Eichner wrote. “It’s been a long time coming.

When I was a youngster, I wished there was a movie like BROS to look forward to, but I’m ecstatic and happy that this day has finally arrived!

“Bros” stars Eichner as an openly gay man, Bobby, who is unable to “find another nice human being to go through life with.” But Aaron, played by Luke Macfarlane, surprises him when he falls in love.

Eichner outlined his vision for the film in a letter he sent to the director.

It was clear to everyone who worked on the film that he wanted to make a movie everyone could enjoy, but he also wanted to make a movie that felt authentic to the LGBTQ people who the film was about—and who have been so profoundly underserved by Hollywood over the years, particularly the major movie studios.
