Friends is a comedy set in the Manhattan borough of New York City about a group of young adults in their 20s and 30s. On September 22, 1994, NBC broadcast the pilot episode, which was written and directed by David Crane and Marta Kauffman.
Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television, developed and produced the show.
The show’s original executive producers were Crane, Kauffman, and Kevin Bright; following seasons saw the addition of Adam Chase, Michael Curtis, Greg Malins, Scott Silveri, Shana Goldberg-Meehan, Andrew Reich, and Ted Cohen.
After initially considering adopting REM’s Shiny Happy People as the series’ theme tune, the decision was taken to write one. I’ll Be There For You was sung by The Rembrandts in this video.
Friend’s third season finale, “The One Where Rachel Quits,” broadcast on December 12, 1996, as the eleventh episode.

Once again, Rachel is forced to face the fact that she despises her job when Gunther informs her that Terry wants her to go through training.
After being persuaded by Chandler and Joey, she ends up abandoning the show. Soon after, when she’s still looking for work at Central Perk’s coffee shop the day before her last shift, she regrets her decision.
Sarah Tuttle, a Brown Bird, is unable to make a living selling Christmas cookies because Ross accidentally damages her leg. Ross sells the cookies in her place out of remorse, hoping to win her a trip to Space Camp as the grand prize.
Girls who have sold hundreds of boxes of cookies, on the other hand, have eliminated him. Rather than sending Sarah to Space Camp, he takes her to Joey and Chandler’s apartment, where they’ve decorated it in a space-themed theme, and spins her around on a barcalounger while the guys act like aliens.
This makes her feel better about the situation, even though he still loses to another girl.
As a result of Phoebe’s aversion to Christmas trees being cut down and sold, Joey’s employment as a tree salesman is in risk when she visits him at work and observes the chipper mutilating an old tree.
The trees to be chipped are brought to Monica’s residence by Monica and Joey as a kind gesture.
Rachel receives a phone call from Fortunata Fashions, where Joey had managed to secure an interview for her. At Central Perk, she works her last shift with a more upbeat attitude (despite the fact that she accidentally brings Chandler coffee instead of tea).
Rachel’s new job at Fortunata Fashions consists solely of making coffee for her new boss, Mr. Kaplan Jr., and she is appalled to discover this.
This girl was selling cookies in order to gain a spot at the space camp, and Ross broke her leg in the process.
For the sake of the girl’s competition, Ross tries to sell 400 boxes of cookies. Despite the fact that she’s terrible at waitressing, Rachel doesn’t want to be taught for a profession she dislikes. After that, Rachel decides to leave Central Perk.
Phoebe is devastated to witness the “killing” of so many trees for their Christmas tree counterparts. Rachel obtains a new position. —Anonymous
