In 2020, Chris Henchy will direct “Impractical Jokers: The Movie,” a feature film based on the sitcom. After eight years of marriage, Gatto and his wife, Bessy Gatto, “agreed to amicably separate ways.”
In his letter, he wrote, “Now I must focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two amazing children.” A 6-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son are the couple’s children.
There was no quick response from a representative for Gatto when CNN contacted them. Murr, Q, and Sal have been the most significant people in my life, according to Gatto’s statement.
“I’m sure they’ll keep the globe laughing for a long time to come. Although the four of us are the ones you see, this program is only possible because of the hard work and ability of the creative staff members who work behind the scenes.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with all of you.” Also on her Instagram page, Bessy revealed the news of the couple’s breakup, writing: “No matter what, we will always be a family to our lovely children, and we are looking forward to co-parenting with you.
As we embark on this new chapter together, we ask that you respect our right to privacy.”
Quinn, Murray, and Vulcano made a joint statement on social media regarding Gatto’s departure from the show: “Impractical Jokers wouldn’t have been the same without Joe after so many years of working together.
The Impractical Jokers fans and the members of our staff we consider family will miss him, but we want to keep making people laugh and maintaining our connection to them.”
Filming for a “new chapter” of the program is scheduled to begin this month, and the three comedians have enlisted the help of their fans to make it happen.
