Krafton announces a new game named Moonbreaker. The new game is an electronic take on the classic tabletop tactics genre. The entire game is situated in a sci-fi universe designed by Brandon Sanderson.
Unknown Worlds, the studio responsible for the Subnautica series (also known as “Project M”), is currently hard at work on their next game, Moonbreaker. On September 29, the new game will be available for Early Access on PC and Mac through Steam around the world. Fans of both board games and collectible card games will enjoy Krafton Moonbreaker, the company’s newest release.
Brandon Sanderson (The Mistborn Trilogy, The Stormlight Archive, and Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time) established the original science fiction universe in which Krafton’s Moonbreaker takes place.
Players engage in battle in the Reaches, a miniature solar system with moons kept in orbit by a limited resource called Cinder. Players will soon be able to listen to audio plays that will expand upon the story and characters of Moonbreaker. Shortly before Early Access is released, the dramas will be made available.
On September 29th, Moonbreaker Will Go Live in Early Access
Fast-paced, turn-based engagements with a wide array of gaming options await players as they steer their Rosters, made up of Captains, Crew, and Assists. Krafton states that there are an infinite number of possible Roster configurations with more than 50 Units (Captains, Crew, and Assists) available at the Early Access launch.
In addition, according to Krafton, Moonbreaker will emulate the feel of a miniatures game without the limiting factors of the actual world. The game offers detailed, intuitive, and continually improving painting tools. All the professional digital painting tools you could ever need are at your fingertips, from premade palettes to individualized roster banners.
