Military Career Of Doug Mastriano
Mastriano joined the United States Army as a second lieutenant after graduating from college and was assigned to the Military Intelligence Corps. Following basic training, he joined the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Nuremberg, Germany, on the West German borders with East Germany and Czechoslovakia.
Mastriano also worked at NATO Land Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany, for four years. In 1991, Mastriano was deployed to Iraq for Operation Desert Storm. He was then assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division and the US Army Europe in Washington, DC.
