Versus, and Need for Speed Heat will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers in September 2022, as previously announced by Sony. The PlayStation Blog announced that on September 6, all PlayStation Plus members would have access to all three games at no extra cost.
The fictional Florida metropolis of Palm City serves as the setting for the third installment in the reimagined Need for Speed series, released in 2015. Different types of racing emerge during Heat’s day and night cycles; the player must become adept at both “clean” street races and “grimy” battles with rogue police.
In an 8/10 review, IGN said, “Need for Speed Heat is a mosaic of existing ideas but it is easily the most impressive Need for Speed game in years.” This game was a huge improvement over Need for Speed 2015 and its sequel, Payback.
The mood in Granblue Fantasy: Versus is completely unique. This four-button Japanese fighting game is one of the best entry points to the fighting genre, with its light, medium, and heavy attacks and character-specific finishers like Street Fighter 5’s V-Skills, and its automatically implemented combos.
The gaming website praised it, saying that “it smartly balances considerations for more casual fighting game players without ever stepping on the toes of its hardcore audience.”
Toem: A Photo Adventure, the last of the three new games, is the most specialized of the bunch because it’s a hand-drawn adventure game focused on the joys of photography. This puzzle game’s design goal was to be soothing and endearing, and it seems to have succeeded.
Saying that “Toem is a short, satisfying little photography adventure packed with witty writing, goofy yet grounded characters, and a wealth of interesting, picturesque moments to capture,” we meant that the game is a satisfying experience overall.
“Despite its ease of completion, the world’s diorama-like maps, cartoon style, and pleasing music and sounds make for a pleasant environment in which to spend time exploring and learning about its secrets.”
Until October 3, you can get these three new games for free, while you can get Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1, and Little Nightmares for free until September 6.
