David is turning 49 this year, and he is still a single man despite widespread speculation that he is gay due to the fact that Muir has never addressed the topic of his sexuality in any of his interviews.
Fans hypothesised that the anchor is dating ABC journalist Gio Benitez due to paparazzi photos of the two of them together that began circulating online, but the rumours that David is gay were never confirmed. Gio Benitez, a journalist, came out as gay and in a relationship with TV host Tommy DiDario later in 2016.
Later, David was said to have frequented gay clubs in New York City, but these claims were never confirmed by independent witnesses. Although rumours said the anchor and Kate Dries were an item, no one ever confirmed the rumour.
