The Marvel Cinematic Universe is transitioning as it enters its post-Infinity Saga chapter in Phase 4. This new development heralds the arrival of a new cast of heroes and antagonists in the interconnected story of the series.
More actors and actresses will join Marvel’s stellar cast in the upcoming chapter of the MCU.
WandaVision, for example, introduced Teyonah Parris and Kathryn Hahn to the MCU, whereas Eternals featured a large cast that included Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, and Barry Keoghan.
Despite the MCU’s all-star cast, many other actors have been linked to the franchise. Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan recently revealed that he met with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to discuss a possible role in the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes universe.
Another well-known actor has since spoken out about joining the MCU.
‘MCU’ Rumors: Keanu Reeves Responds
Keanu Reeves, who starred in The Matrix: Resurrections, was a guest on the most recent episode of Esquire’s Explain This, during which the actor’s alleged participation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was discussed.
In a joking response to the rumors, Reeves stated that the MCU is “bigger than a universe,” and he also made reference to the “Multiverse” in his remarks.
Additionally, the John Wick actor said that joining the superhero franchise would be “an honor,” adding that Marvel Studios is “doing something no one’s ever done.”
Reeves entered the Moon Knight rumor mill in September 2020, with The Illuminerdi reporting that the casting breakdown “specifically references” the actor for the show’s lead role.
Reeves “had previously spoken,” with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about joining the franchise “at least since the pre-production of Captain Marvel when he flirted with the Yon-Rogg role,” according to the same report.

MCU Role of Keanu Reeves (Theory)
According to Keanu Reeves’ most recent remarks, he is open to possibly joining the MCU in the future. Given Reeves’ background, it makes sense to assume that Marvel Studios is looking for the ideal part for him.
The previous rumor from The Illuminerdi, which claimed that the actor was “specifically” referred to in the casting breakdown of Moon Knight’s Marc Spector, served as additional evidence supporting this assertion.
Reeves’ impressive screen talent has made him the focus of MCU fan casts. Many concur that Wolverine, Silver Surfer, and Ghost Rider are among the heroes on fans’ wish lists.
Of all the options, it seems like Reeves would fit Ghost Rider or Silver Surfer the best. Though the future of Wolverine at Marvel Studios is unknown, it looks like a younger actor may be in the running.
Separately, it’s noteworthy that Reeves mentioned the “Multiverse” in his remarks. The actor might be aware of the MCU’s grand plans, and he might already have been hired for a covert role.
On the other hand, Reeves might be keeping tabs on Marvel’s strategies from a distance so that he is fully informed when the time comes, and Feige might meet with him in the future.
Right Now, How Does He Feel About It?
Reeves referred to the MCU as “bigger than a universe” in a November 2021 episode of Esquire’s YouTube series. “It resembles a multiverse almost. It is a Marvel universe. And is he interested in joining the franchise?
“It would be an honor, you know. There are some fantastic directors and visionaries. Nobody has ever done what they’re doing. It would be cool to be a part of that because it is unique in scope, ambition, and production.
Finally, Esquire reported in February 2021 that Reeves had received an offer for the role of Kraven the Hunter in a stand-alone SUMC film. However, as things stand, according to IMDB, Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be portraying the position in the 2023 release of the film.
Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters, or SUMC, is distinct from the MCU, though no one is quite sure how; Keanu Reeves appears in neither as of yet.
