How to Share Your Google Calendar

The Google Calendar is an all-in-one tool for coordinating schedules and tasks with friends, family, and coworkers. To continue doing everything off of it would be impossible. If you want to get the most out of it, you should share it with others.

Share Your Calendar with Someone

Carefully consider to who you give access to your calendar before doing so. If someone has access to your entire calendar, they can see and do the following:

  • Invent and rework gatherings
  • Publish your schedule for people to see
  • Get updates on your schedule through email.
  • Get rid of your schedule

Share Your Calendar

Each calendar you make can be shared with others, and you can decide who has access to which calendars. Discover the ins and outs of making a whole new calendar.

  • Collaborate with others by sharing your schedule.
  • Go to Google Calendar on your PC. Google Calendar doesn’t allow for calendar sharing.
  • The “My calendars” menu is located on the left side of the screen. Use the Down arrow to open it up.
  • To make a calendar public, hover over it and select More More, followed by Settings and sharing.
  • Select Who you want to share with and then click Add.
  • Specify an email address for a person or a Google organization. You can modify their access levels using the drop-down menu. Understand the ins and outs of permits.
  • Simply hit the send button.

To add the calendar to their personal schedule, the receiver must follow the link provided in the email. Figure out how to incorporate another person’s schedule.

A helpful hint for sharing someone else’s calendar is to request “Make changes and manage sharing” permission from the calendar’s owner.

Share a Calendar with The Public

  • Go to Google Calendar on your PC. Google Calendar doesn’t allow for calendar sharing.
  • The “My calendars” menu is located on the left side of the screen. Use the Down arrow to open it up.
  • To make a calendar public, hover over it and select More More, followed by Settings and sharing.
  • Choose to Make it available to the public from the drop-down menu under “Access permissions.”
  • Select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu next to “Make available to the public” to grant the desired level of access. Explore the topic of permissions more deeply.

Share a Calendar with Everyone in Your Organization
