Instagram Begins Testing a New Feature that Allows Users to Leave Notes for Their Followers

This month, Instagram has been hard at work developing and testing a whole array of new features. In only the past few weeks, the platform for sharing images has tested a new monetization mechanism for content creators, a repost feature, and an altered user interface that does not include a Shop page.

Additionally, it has launched the ability to connect YouTube Music to Instagram Stories. In addition, the system is now working on a feature called “Nudity protection,” which will instantly cover any photographs in chats that are deemed inappropriate.

While some of these capabilities have not yet been made available to users, Instagram has begun testing yet another new feature that will allow users to add notes to direct messages.

It was just just announced that Instagram would begin rolling out the functionality to some users, and it is already available on some of our smartphones that are running software version 254.0.0.19.109.

On the conversation page, the new feature shows a new area directly beneath the search bar, as can be seen in the screenshots that have been attached to this post. It will show you a button that allows you to add a new note, and then it will show you notes from other users that you follow.

When you tap the ‘Your Note’ button, a new page will open up where you will have the opportunity to add a new note for your followers. Your followers will not be notified whenever you add a note, as stated in the description that can be found at the very top of this page.

They will, however, be able to view your note for the next twenty-four hours and respond to it with a message during that time. You can also share your comments with “Followers you follow back” or “Close friends” via the page’s Share with section, which is located at the bottom of the page.

Following the publication of a new note by you, your followers will be able to respond to it by selecting the note from the main chat page. This action brings up a text input box that includes the note itself, as well as the user’s profile photo and Instagram handle.

In addition, it will display the amount of time that has passed since the user shared the note.
