According to a source in Vanity Fair, Anthony Strangis endured tremendous problems as a child, including witnessing threatening battles between his parents and being shuttled between his parents’ homes following their divorce. Strangis married Stacy Avery after just a few months of dating as a young adult.

Avery claims that after she became pregnant, Strangis informed her he was “expected to inherit $5 million from an aunt” and then pawned all of her jewellery and electronics before abandoning her and their young boy.
