Makoto Yukimura is the author and illustrator of the Japanese historical manga series Vinland Saga. The series began serialization in the youth-oriented Weekly Shonen Magazine before being transferred to the monthly manga magazine Monthly Afternoon, which is aimed at young adult men.
The series had been collected into twenty-five bound volumes. Vinland Saga has also been licensed in English by Kodansha USA. Wit Studio aired a 24-episode anime television series adaptation on NHK General TV from July to December 2019.
