Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a sequel/spin-off to one of the most well-known anime series ever to air: Naruto. It’s a must-see for fans of Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden. Though fans are divided on whether or not Boruto is a nice complement to its predecessor, it’s certainly worth a shot.
If you haven’t seen it yet or are just getting started, you must have one pressing question. Is Naruto going to die? While the fates of the other characters are important, most people are most concerned with what happens to Naruto.
His death would make sense because his story is nearly finished, and it would make focusing on Boruto much easier. Naruto’s death, as horrible and harsh as it seems, might be an effective motivator for the new protagonist. If you don’t mind a few spoilers, here’s all you need to know about Naruto’s status in recent Boruto episodes.
In the Boruto Anime, Does Naruto Die?
If you recall, the opening episode of the Boruto anime gave us a quick peek at a future in which the Leaf Village has been utterly destroyed and Naruto appears to be dead. This is only a fleeting glimpse, as the plot rapidly returns to the present, where Naruto is still alive and well.
This is still true as of Episode 231 of the Boruto anime series, indicating that Naruto is still alive. But, by the time the future from episode one becomes the present, will he have died? We don’t believe so. We’ll explain our reasoning in greater depth in the last section of this article, but for now, we can only say that there is no indication that Naruto is dead; he may be hurt, but not dead.

Specifically, it is hinted that Naruto is no longer alive at the time, but we haven’t seen his body, and we all know the informal anime rule – if you don’t watch a character die and don’t see their body, they’re most certainly not dead. Naruto’s death is surprising news that was most likely done to attract followers, but we expect to see Naruto living when the future becomes the present.
What Happened to Naruto’s Parents?
In Shippuden, it was revealed that the nine-tailed fox attacked Konoha. The Fourth Hokage, Minato, and Kushina Uzumaki gave their lives to save Konoha and their child, Naruto. Minato trapped part of the tailed beast’s soul inside the baby, and both parents died as a result.
Where Did Kakuzu Learn His Techniques?
Masashi Kishimoto named the Kakuzu method Jiongu after one of his favorite anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam. Although he is not connected to a big robot, he may turn into hundreds of writhing, grey tendrils, making him more lethal.
In Boruto, Who Nearly Killed Naruto?
Remember that the battle against Jigen (possessed by Isshiki) was one of the most difficult Naruto had ever encountered. Despite their attempts, Kurama, Naruto, and Sasuke were quickly overrun and overpowered by Jigen, who was subsequently shown to be possessed by Isshiki tsutsuki.

During a critical moment when Isshiki was ready to kill Sasuke, Naruto used his clones to hold Isshiki while Sasuke escaped with his Rinnegan. Sasuke did, in fact, shift out of the weird dimension Jigen had placed them in.
As Naruto continued to tease Isshiki, Kurama warned him to stop, claiming that Isshiki had never planned to murder him from the beginning, but that he may change his mind and massacre them at any time, to which the tsutsuki congratulated the fox before sealing them in a large coffin. Boro was then assigned to guard the seal.
