What is Romantic Killer Season 1 About?
This story follows Anzu, a high school freshman who lives a wonderful life as a shut-in. She enjoys video games, spending time with her cat Momohiki, and eating an inordinate amount of chocolate. Anzu receives a new video game in the mail one day and decides to play it.
It creeps her out, and she understands she’s playing the wrong game. Nonetheless, she keeps going. Riri, a wizard-like monster, enters her world through her television, shocking her. Riri reveals that Anzu is their company’s first test subject in their strategy to solve Japan’s population problem.
To that end, they hired Riri to aid Anzu in achieving romance. Riri confiscates Anzu’s favorite pastimes and has her parents sent away on a trip with her pet cat Momohiki to ensure Anzu follows their plan.
Riri promises to return the stuff as soon as Anzu falls in love with one of the Ikemen (hot men) he has lined up for her. Anzu intends to become a Romantic Killer, a person who can defy all romance, to annoy Riri.

She thinks that her persistent lack of interest in romantic affairs will cause Riri to resign and her life to return to normal. Her ambitions are derailed when she meets Tsukasa, a prominent Ikemen at her school.
