He has written several best-selling books, and his most recent one is a funny and honest collection of essays called “I Hate Everyone, Except You.” Kelly’s first job was as an editor for Marie Claire and Mademoiselle. He also wrote freelance articles for a number of fashion magazines.

Kelly was born in Panama City, Panama, on February 22, 1969. He grew up in Port Jefferson Station, New York. He went to Comsewogue High School and got his diploma in 1987. In his book, I Hate Everyone, Except You, Kelly talks about parts of his family life and childhood.

He went to Boston College and got a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1991. He was also president of the University Chorale at Boston College. Kelly always wanted to write novels, but he was afraid that if he did, he would “be broke.”

Instead, he went to Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 1993 to get a master’s degree in journalism. He chose to focus on magazine publishing.

He says that the training he got at Medill is one of the reasons he was able to move easily from journalism to magazine editing and then to the TV.

He says that the mindset needed to edit a magazine is a lot like what is needed to make a TV show.

Kelly is married to his partner Damon Bayles since 2009. They’ve been together for 11 years. Bayles is a psychologist and while Kelly is quite active on social media and in the limelight, Bayles prefers to stay out of the same.

Mary, the Jack Russell terrier, is a cute pet that they have. Mary is a rescue dog who often shows up in Kelly’s blog posts. She’s a fan favorite for sure! Unfortunately, She passed away in May 2022.

Bayles is a clinical psychologist who has specialized in anxiety, depression, drug abuse, and addiction. After getting his Bachelor of Arts at Brown University and his Master of Arts in psychology at Yeshiva University, he started his career.

According to reports, he works as a private therapist in New York’s Greenwich Village and gives seminars for Equinox Health Clubs. They got married at their home in Bantam, Connecticut, in 2009.
