In the last episode of Dead Mount Death Play, we met the local police and their special unit, Comps-3, which is made up of people who work on strange cases that involve the supernatural.
The episode starts with their leader, Tsubaki Iwanome, who is happy and pumped up, and Kouzaborou Araze, who is cold but smart, looking into the human-knot event. Polka is now on the police's list of suspects.
Polka tells Tsubaki that he has put the real Polka's soul into a dolphin toy, but that it takes a lot of magical energy to keep a human soul in the world. Polka says that he could use some mana stones because the magic in this modern world is weak and there aren't any ghosts.
In the new world, the mana stones are called gemstones, and Polka is shocked when Misaki takes him to a Jewellery shop and tells him how much they cost. Misaki and Polka are leaving the store when Tsubaki sees Araze coming towards them with his drones.
Tsubaki is afraid of Araze because they've met before, but before he can pull back his drone, Araze strikes it. Araze starts asking the two of them questions and tells them that Tsubaki has a loose lip because he would tell anyone's secret if it meant saving his own life.
When Misaki and Araze fight, Misake kicks Araze into a wall and runs away with Polka. They go to Clarissa's bar, where Iwanome was already drinking after asking Lisa questions. Iwanome is shocked to see the two of them there, so he pretends to be friendly and starts talking to them.
Araze also shows up at the bar, and Tsubaki lets Misaki and Polka escape. Just as they're about to leave, Polka feels a dangerous presence in the room, and everyone is shocked when the unseen mercenary Lemmings shows up.
