Micheal and Kristine Barnett adopted Natalia Grace and after the adoption, the couple alleged that Natalia was an adult and not a child when she was adopted in 2020. The couple also alleged that she had tried to kill members of the family on several occasions.
They claimed that Natalia had a form of dwarfism called spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenital. This made her appear smaller. Kristine also does appear much in the series as her husband Micheal appears. Kristine and her husband Micheal have unfortunately separated.

What Happened To Kristine Barnett?
Michael and Kristine had earlier adopted Natalia Grace through an emergency adoption process in 2010. However, after the adoption and taking her home to America, the family began noticing some changes in her behavior towards the family.
It was also alleged that Micheal spotted Natalia standing on the foot of the bed with a knife in her hand. He also revealed that the case of Natalia was a curious case. It was said that Natalia also tried to poison Kristine Coffee and drag her into an electric fence as stated by Micheal.
The family with time could not leave in the same house as Natalie. The family then decided to move to Canada in 2013. While Natalia was left behind in a rented apartment in Lafayette Indiana.
However, Micheal and Kristine divorced but they still upheld their allegations against Natalia. They did file a petition to the Marion County probate court to charge Natalia’s birth from 2003 to 1989. The pair were then charged with several counts of neglect in the state of Indiana.
Micheal was charged with several counts of neglect which may cause bodily harm and injury. Four counts of neglect of a dependant were however dismissed against him. Micheal however appeared in court imI October 2022 for his trial and Natalia testified against Micheal.
She revealed that she wanted nothing but wanted to live with the Barnetts. Micheal was not found guilty of the charges and later that month charges against Kristine were also dropped in March 2023 less than a month before her trial was to be scheduled to begin. It was confirmed that Kristine was residing in Florida at that time.
Where Is Natalia Now?
Natalia Grace is still living in Indiana, she appeared in Dr.Phil with Antwon and Cynthia Man in 2019. It was revealed that a family took custody of her when the Barnetts left her. The Man’s couple also spoke alongside Natalia while on the show and they seemingly defended her.
The couple revealed that they had children and grandchildren and Natalia has not done anything to harm them or her nephew. Phil McGraw also expressed his uncertainty over the situation while speaking with the couple and Natalia as well.
He also stated that it was not believable for a 6 or 7-year-old to stay in an apartment all alone for a year. Natalia then spoke that she did not even go shopping and that her landlord would take her to the gas station once in a while to get some things. She also stated that the Barnetts feed her only canned foods.
