Travis Rudolph signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent following the 2017 NEL Draft however he was waived on September 2, 2017, and was signed to the Giant’s practice Squad the following day. Travis was then promoted to the active roster on October 9, 2017, after injuries to several receivers on the team.
He started his first NFL reception in a week 7 game against the Seattle Seahawks on October 22, 2017, and he finished the game with 3 receptions for 32 yards. Travis Rudolph was then waived by the Giants on September 1, 2018.
Travis Rudolph then signed to the Mami Dolphins practice squad on October 10, 2018, but he got a torn ACL on his first day of practice and was placed on the practice squad injured list. Travis then signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League on January 6, 2020. He was however released on April 7, 2021.

Travis Rudolph Murder Charge
Travis Rudolph was arrested in Palm Beach County on April 7, 2021, and was charged with one count of first-degree murder as well as three counts of attempted first-degree murder. According to reports he allegedly opened fire on four people after a late-night dispute at his mother’s house in Lake Park.
It was recorded that four people came to his mother’s house to confront him about his domestic violence accusations and during the dispute he fired an AR-15-style pistol at about 39 rounds. It was reported that one person was killed in the process and another was severely wounded.
Travis Rudolph was then held in jail without bond. His defense team filed a motion to dismiss all charges under Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law but the motion was subsequently denied. His attorney was however able to negotiate his release from jail on a $160,000 cash bond but was placed under house arrest.
Travis Rudolph’s trial began in May 2023 and he is been represented by Heidi Perlet and Marc Shiner. During the trial, he maintained that he fired the shots in self-defense because four men Keishaun Jones, Tyler Robinson, Chris Lowe, and Sebastian Jean-Jacques came over to his house around midnight to kill him.
It was also revealed that Travis’s ex-girlfriend Dominique Jones had sent text messages to her brother Keishaun Jones and Tyler Robinson telling them to shoot up his home because he had been with another woman. It was also stated that Robinson had come with a gun.
During his testimony, Robinson acknowledged he brought the gun with him but denied pointing it at Travis Rudolph or displaying it during the altercation. As a result of the shooting, Jean-Jacques was killed. Robinson was also shot but survived.
