When Kagurabachi’s previous chapter began, Chihiro was ambushed by two new enemies. But a mysterious sorcerer intervened on his behalf, using his physical might to vanquish one of the sorcerers. The other sorcerer recognized him as a colonel and left the area.

Subsequently, it came to light that the individual’s name was Azami and that Rokuhira knew him. Azami was a member of Kamunabi, an organization that assisted the government in getting rid of possible dangers to the country. The chapter also described Shiba’s previous employment with the Kamunabi.

Azami informed Shiba that Chihiro’s enchanted blade and Char were topics of discussion between him and the Kamunabi’s higher-ups.
