Reliance Jio has released a low-cost laptop to a select audience. The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) is currently selling the Jio Book, but only to government employees.
The blue laptop is ultraportable and remarkably lightweight. The Jio logo may be found in the top right corner of the laptop. The views from the laptop are very impressive.
In contrast, the laptop’s construction is entirely plastic.
Pricing and Availability of JioBook
Presently, government personnel can purchase the JioBook through the GeM for the price of Rs 19,500. Other others will be able to have it sometime around Diwali.

The Jio Book has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and an Adreno 610 GPU, and it operates on a modified version of the Jio Operating System that includes the Jio Cloud PC and the Microsoft Ad browser. It has 32GB of built-in storage (eMMC) and can accommodate additional storage via microSD card, giving you a total of 2GB of RAM.
The gadget has an anti-glare 11.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1366×768 (HD). It launches the mysterious “JioOS,” which is widely speculated to be based on either Google ChromeOS or Windows.
The JioBook comes with a standard non-backlit keyboard, two microphones, and a stereo speaker system. Built-in support for 4G networks, HDMI, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0 are also included. A high-definition webcam is integrated into the top bezel of the display.

Heavy use, such as gaming, is not recommended for this device. Just above the display, you’ll find a high-definition webcam for making video calls. The Jio Book has a 55.1 to 60 AH battery that can supposedly last for up to eight hours.
The Jio Book can be purchased right now from the GeM website for the low, low price of Rs 19,500. The official price of the Jio Book laptop has not yet been made public, therefore there may be some variation in the commercial cost. In spite of this, it’s possible that the overall layout and technical specs will be unaltered.

The company has released a low-cost laptop for travelers, students, and office professionals who need a portable computer. Those of you who enjoy playing video games should look elsewhere.
