In India, Jio’s 5G services have begun to be made available. To begin with, the telecommunications company has only made these services available in specific areas. Jio’s nationwide 5G launch in India is scheduled for December 2023, according to Reliance Industries Chairman and Founder Mukesh Ambani.
The Jio Welcome Offer was introduced shortly after the company’s 5G service went live in four test markets. Since Jio has deployed and invested in the standalone 5G technology, the telco can run its network independently of the current bandwidth, allowing it to claim that it provides the True 5G experience.
What Is Jio 5G Welcome Offer
The Jio 5G Welcome Offer is the newest incentive for customers to try out Jio’s True 5G network. The telecom provider has a track record of providing Welcome Offers, and these were accessible at the time the 4G service was introduced in 2016.
Special features of the Jio 5G Welcome Offer are accessible only in areas where the Jio True 5G network is live and the 5G service is being provided. The telecommunications provider has announced that the Jio 5G Welcome Offer will provide subscribers with unlimited data at speeds of 1Gbps+.
Keep in mind that the Welcome Offer is invitation-only, so not everyone will be able to take advantage of Jio’s lightning-fast 5G service.

How to Get the Jio Welcome Offer to Invite?
Jio hasn’t spoken much about the invite process, but a report from TelecomTalk claims that you may find the Welcome Offer invitation in the MyJio app. So, if you live in one of the four qualifying cities, have a 5G phone, and haven’t received an invite yet, download the MyJio app and see if you can find out more information.

How to Activate Jio 5G on Your Smartphone
Jio 5G requires users to turn on 5G support on their 5G-capable handsets. A phone’s settings are where you’ll find this option. Here’s how to turn on 5G on your Android phone:
- Open ‘The settings app on your smartphone
- Next, find and select ‘Mobile network’ or a similar setting
- Select the Jio SIM you want to enable 5G on
- From here, select the ‘Preferred network type’ option
- Now select the option that says 5G
- After following these steps, you should be getting a 5G symbol on the status bar. It indicates that 5G services get activated on your smartphone
Also, make sure to enable mobile data and turn off Wi-Fi for the 5G symbol to appear.
