The Roomba Combo j7+ Is Designed to Mop Your Floors Superior to Competitors

No need to pause in the middle of cleaning to switch between vacuuming and mopping thanks to iRobot’s newest robotic vacuum. It’s not unheard of to find a robot vacuum that can also mop the floor, but these machines have their drawbacks, namely in the fact that mopping must be programmed as a distinct operation from vacuuming.

Either that or the mop attachment will drag around the floor, leaving it wet, which is why iRobot is so certain that their latest Roomba Combo j7+ will stand out.

After you start cleaning, the j7+ will begin by vacuuming your rugs and carpets before moving on to the mop if you haven’t already connected a mop pad and put cleaning solution in the tank.

After that, it will use the vacuum and mop on hard floors (wood, tile, etc.) until they are spotless. If the Roomba senses carpets or rugs, the mop arms will rise to the top of the machine, protecting your flooring from any spills.

The j7+ will use iRobot OS 5.0 for more than just mopping—it will also be able to better navigate and recognize objects in its environment.

Automatic “Clean Zone” detection enables Roombas (and other compatible iRobot devices) to avoid obstacles like litter boxes and backpacks, in addition to larger household items like sofas, dishwashers, and pet bowls. And if you change your mind about cleaning a certain room during a cycle, you can instruct the Roomba to skip it using the Home App or an Alexa command.

The Roomba Combo j7+ is now available for pre-order at a price of $1,099; it is scheduled to begin arriving on October 4. Furthermore, beginning in 2023, it will be included with the iRobot Select subscription, which costs $29 per month (plus probable activation fees and other taxes).
