Once Upon a Crime is a planned Japanese Netflix Original fantasy drama that is based on the manga Little Red Riding Hood Meets a Corpse on Her Journey by Aoyagi Aito. The show will be directed by Fukuda Yuichi.

What Is the Plot of Once Upon a Crime?
The plot summary for Once Upon a Crime comes from a news statement from Netflix from November 2021;
“Akazukin, Tabi no Tochu de Shitai to Deau (Futabasha) is a famous mystery book by Aito Aoyagi that takes place in the world of well-known stories and fairy tales. The book is a daring story about a girl named Little Red Riding Hood who goes after crooks who break the rules in well-known fairy tales like Cinderella and Hansel and Gretel. It became popular for its clever ways of solving mysteries. Now, hit comedy director Yuichi Fukuda has turned it into a movie.”

Who Are the Cast Members of Once Upon A Crime?
So far, we only know about three people who will be in the movie.
Little Red Riding Hood’s main part will be played by Hashimoto Kanna. Once Upon a Crime is the first Netflix show that Kanna will be in. She is best known for her role in Assassination Classroom, which was a live-action version of the famous book and anime series. She has also been in Gintama, Sailor Suit, and Machine Gun: Graduation.
Araki Yuko will be playing the supporting role of Cinderella. Once Upon a Crime will also be Yuko’s first time on Netflix. She was in the movie Graduation, which came out in 2010. She was also in the kids’ TV show Kamen Rider Wizard and the movie Evil and the Mask.

The supporting role of Prince will be played by Iwata Takanori. Takanori has been in 70 movies and TV shows, but he hasn’t been in anything for Netflix yet. He is best known for his roles in movies and TV shows like Botanical Books and High & Low: The Story of S.W.O.R.D.
