Later, he was admitted to the bar of the state of New York. While attending Magdalen College for his doctorate in political science, he was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship by the University of Oxford.

Farrow has been living in Manhattan’s Lower East Side since August of this year. In 2018, he came out as a member of the LGBT community.

Jon Lovett, a podcast presenter and former White House speechwriter, began dating Farrow in 2011.

Farrow proposed to Lovett in the manuscript of his book Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators in 2019, and the two have been engaged ever since. In August of this year, the couple paid $1.87 million for a house in Los Angeles.
