The Surprising Chris Martin Performance in A Quaint English Pub Watch Now!

If you didn’t know it, Chris Martin is a huge Glastonbury fan, and seeing him around Worthy Farm is as certain as seeing him at the Pyramid stage or pulling a late one at the stone circle.

With Coldplay, Martin has headlined the festival a whopping four times, but he also made two solo appearances in 2019 with legend’s slot star Kylie and headliner Stormzy.

This year’s edition of the festival saw the singer and his actor girlfriend Dakota Johnson hanging out with the likes of Sam Fender and Phoebe Bridgers, albeit they kept a low profile.

Meanwhile, on his way home from the event, the artist stopped at a pub in the West Country and performed an unexpected set for the patrons.

While in Hinton Charterhouse near Bath, he and Johnston were staying at The Stag Inn. Glastonbury’s famous Pilton location is slightly over half an hour distant from this pub.

“I said to the bloke sitting next to me, ‘Crikey that fella looks like Chris Martin,'” pub owner Chris Parkin told Somerset Live after the man strolled in and ended lunch service.

The locals left Martin and his band to relax on a picnic bench outside after serving them a few pints of Guinness, but Martin later overheard a conversation about an upcoming wedding at the pub and struck up a conversation with the bride and groom.

Coldplay’s “Sky Full of Stars” was revealed as their first dance song, and the singer offered to perform it on a nearby piano for a lucky group of pub-goers. Because he was “a touch hoarse” after “partying all weekend,” Martin didn’t sing the song’s high notes on “Ghost Stories.”

A big name like Chris Martin was in the pub? “It seemed a little weird,” Parkin said. “However, he was an extremely sweet guy.” That’s great!
