Office 365 Is Becoming Microsoft 365: Here’s What You Need to Know

The Office 365 brand is now known as Microsoft 365.

Microsoft brought many of its other services, like SharePoint and the email server Exchange, with them. The new Microsoft 365 app will feature meeting-based document and file browsing in addition to normal access to Office apps. Every Microsoft program is supported.

Microsoft Is Rebranding Office 365 as Microsoft 365.

It’s been nearly two years since the firm initially adopted the Microsoft 365 brand. However, the corporation hasn’t exactly been committed to the branding up until this point.

Now, over two years later, it is fully embracing these shifts across the board.

Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Contemporary Work, Jared Spataro, said,

The new Microsoft 365 app is representative of the forward-thinking solutions we’ve worked to perfect as the worlds of work and life continue to change, and it’s only one piece of our overall strategy and emphasis as a company on Microsoft 365.

New Highlights in Microsoft 365

Office.com, the Office mobile app, and the Office software for Windows will all be rebranded as the Microsoft 365 app in the coming months, the company announced. In addition to a new logo, the new Microsoft 365 app will also have a new icon and design. The brand-new Microsoft 365 app will also be receiving updates.

The new Microsoft 365 software, in contrast to the current Office app, will be available to consumers as well as businesses. Other shoppers and students can benefit from it, too.

Availability of The Revamped Microsoft Office 365

The Microsoft Office 365 logo and name will remain in some form. Certainly not at this time. Users will have access to Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as part of Microsoft 365, but the company also plans to continue selling these programs individually to individuals and enterprises through its Office 2021 and Office LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) plans.

The business added that in January 2023, the Office software for Windows and the Office mobile app for iOS and Android would start receiving these updates. The organization has decided not to alter Office 365 pricing at this time.
