The movie will come out in Japan on December 26, 2020. Makoto Shinkai will direct a new film about two people connected through time and space.
The cast for the new movie hasn’t been set yet, but some of the original actors are likely to be in it. We don’t know much about the plot right now.
On the other hand, the new movie hinted that it would be about fate and a love story between two people who are meant to be together.

Your Name 2 is a Japanese animated fantasy movie coming out in 2020. It was made by Makoto Shinkai.

Makoto Shinkai, Who is Making the Movie, Announced It in December 2018
In December 2018, the director, Makoto Shinkai, said he was making a new movie. The Japanese version of Kimi no Na wa (Your Name) is expected to come out in 2020.
Shinkai is best known for his earlier movie, “Your Name,” which did well with audiences and critics. It became Japan’s fourth highest-grossing movie and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Given how well Your Name did, everyone is looking forward to Kimi no Na wa.

Kimi No Na Wa Plot
Mitsuha is a high school student from the small village of Itomori. She was tired of her dull life in the country and wanted to return as a young, handsome boy from Tokyo. She is at the center of the story.
In this life, she gets her wish to change her fate strangely. She ends up switching bodies with a boy from Tokyo named Taki. On the other hand, this exchange is random and goes back and forth between normal states.
Both of them have to face the truth. This unexpected confusion leads to several funny situations in which Mitsuha’s superstitious family thinks a demon is possessing her because she is becoming more like a man.
Friends of Taki want to know where he got his new country-style shine.
