Even though the reality star and NBA player rushed their courtship, at first it seemed like they had the perfect relationship.
In 2011, less than three months after getting married, the couple broke up, which made the news all over the world.
After he broke up with Kardashian, Humphries kind of fell off the radar, and he hasn’t been in the news since.
Many of us are now wondering what he’s been doing for the past few years. Has he remarried since then, or did the divorce from eight years ago really hurt him?
After 72 Days of Marriage, Kardashian and Humphries Got a Divorce
Many of us will never forget what happened in 2011. Not only were people crazy about planking and the Dougie, but it was also the year Kim Kardashian’s second marriage almost went down the drain.
After only nine months together, the reality star got engaged to NBA player Kris Humphries in May 2011. Three months later, they got married in a big ceremony in Beverly Hills with 450 guests.

It seemed like Kardashian had finally found her happily ever after with Humphries, but it soon became clear that not every fairy tale has a happy ending.
Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries in October 2011, the same month that E! showed their wedding.
Since they were only married for 72 days, the news of their breakup got a lot of attention from the media. This was the shortest marriage we’ve ever heard of in the 21st century.
Many of us were surprised that the couple only stayed together for three months, but Kardashian later said that it didn’t take her long to realize that the marriage wasn’t working.
In 2017, when she was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the reality star said that she knew her marriage to Humphries wasn’t going to be easy as soon as they got back from their honeymoon.

Since the Divorce, Humphries Has Been Living a Quiet Life
Kardashian had no trouble breaking up with Humphries and moving on with her life, but Humphries had a much harder time getting over the breakup.
Soon after the news of their divorce hit the news, the NBA player got a lot of bad attention from the rest of the world.
Humphries said in 2017 that he was in a “dark place” because people in the crowd made fun of him at his games and made him out to be the bad guy in this whole thing.
“I’ll be honest, I had a lot of anxiety, especially when there were a lot of people around. About a year ago, I was in a very bad place.
In an essay for The Players’ Tribune, he said, “I didn’t want to leave my home.” “You feel like … I’m not sure… Everyone hates you, but they have no idea why. They know nothing about you at all. They only need to see your face to know who you are.
Humphries did his best to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible in the years after his divorce.
After getting cut from the Philadelphia 76ers in 2017, the basketball player moved back to his hometown in Minnesota to live a much simpler life away from the public eye.

Humphries no longer plays basketball. Instead, he works as a real estate agent and owns several fast-food chains.
The 33-year-old is the first franchise partner for Crisp & Green. This has allowed him to open a few new Five Guys restaurants in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
