Who is Outkast and What Happened with Him?

When Outkast hit the scene in the mid-1990s, they were unlike any hip-hop duo that had ever been on the charts. The group from Atlanta, Georgia, made a lot of noise when they released Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik in 1994. After that, Outkast made another five albums, which helped them become even more famous.

Their music attracted fans who liked other kinds of music as well. At the turn of the millennium, rockers were into “Hey Ya” and “Ms. Jackson.”

Everyone in the country was dancing to Outkast until, “pow,” they broke up in 2006, seemingly out of nowhere. It seems like an odd thing for a music group with 16 Grammy nominations and 6 wins to do. But it’s not like André 3000 and Big Boi vanished off the face of the earth. They had other things to do.

Who Was the Rapper Outcast?

In 1992, the rap duo Outkast got together for the first time. Andre “Andre 3000” Benjamin and Antwan “Big Boi” Patton are both in the group. From the beginning of hip-hop to the 2000s, Outkast was a very important part of it. Two rappers from East Point, Georgia, helped spread the word about Southern rap.

Does Andre 3000 have a child with Erykah Badu? Andre 3000 and Erykah Badu, two big names in Hip-Hop, are Seven Sirus Benjamin’s parents.

Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik was Outkast’s first album, which came out in 1994. It was a critical and commercial success, and it showed how original the duo was and how good they were at making catchy hooks. The hit song “Elevators (Me and You)” was on their next album, ATLiens, which came out in 1996 and sold 1.5 million copies.

Idlewild: Does Paula Patton sing? Paula Patton said in no uncertain terms that she can’t sing. She sang a few riffs at her audition, but other than the scene where her character and Percival practiced for her first stage performance, she didn’t sing in the movie.

What Happened to Outkast

Since Outkast broke up in 2006, Big Boi (Antwan Patton) hasn’t exactly been lounging around. Big Boi has been able to build his own solo career while taking care of his three kids. Two of them are now out of college, and the third has graduated from high school.

His first album, Sir Lucious Left Foot… the Return of Chico Dusty, came out in 2010, and it has been called a return to an older hip-hop style. You might think that would turn off younger fans of the genre, but Big Boi’s solo work has been doing pretty well.

Big Boi has put out three studio albums so far. His most recent one, Boomiverse, came out in 2017. The artist’s first album was #3 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” chart, and his or her second and third albums were #34 and #13, respectively. It shows that Big Boi has what he needs to make his own music while André 3000 is doing his own thing.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Big Boi bought a small recording studio called Dungeon 2019 in Atlanta. Both Big Boi and André 3000 started their careers here.

No one seems to know what the artist is going to do with the space. He could be making things there or recording his own music. No matter what, it’s clear that Big Boi is still out there working hard.
